Description:
Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus) is included in the family Fabaceae, subfamily Faboideae of. The genus is derived from the temperate regions of the northern hemisphere. Astragalus is a distinctive feature with the high reaching about 15-50 cm. This plant has a branched stem with leaf-shaped oval.

These plants, especially roots, is often used in Chinese medicine. Chinese people believe in Astragalus is more efficacious than ginseng.
